Mizoram Minister Urges Centre’s Assistance for Urban Infrastructure Development

Mizoram Urban Development Minister K Sapdanga met Union Minister Manohar Lal in Delhi to seek support for modernising urban infrastructure in the state. He stressed the need for improved drainage to prevent monsoon flooding and highlighted issues in solid waste management. Sapdanga urged for the Centre’s technical and financial help to boost urban sanitation. He also met Expenditure Secretary Vuanlunmang Vualnam to request the early release of pending funds crucial for ongoing and proposed projects. Vualnam assured support and follow-up. The visit reflects Mizoram’s efforts to enhance urban governance and meet rising infrastructure needs.
