Gauhati University successfully conducted the B.Ed Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET-2025) on July 20 with a remarkable 96.58% attendance. Out of 15,282 registered candidates, 14,760 appeared across 18 centres in 16 cities, with 3,332 at the university’s own centre. Vice Chancellor Prof. Nani Gopal Mahanta attributed the high turnout to growing student trust, while Registrar Dr. Utpal Sarma praised the smooth, glitch-free execution. The event follows the university’s recent NAAC A+ accreditation and inclusion in the Times Higher Education Rankings 2025. Gauhati University continues to expand quality education and solidify its role as a leading academic institution in Northeast India.
