Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated a state-of-the-art super-speciality hospital at Ahom Gaon, Guwahati. Launched by a leading Eastern India healthcare group, the hospital begins with 100 beds, expanding to 300 by 2026. It offers advanced care in cardiology, neurology, oncology, and more, aiming to serve Assam and neighboring states, including Bangladesh. The group, with a legacy since 1994, is known for innovations like robotic surgeries and gene therapy. It also plans a research center in Tripura. The hospital marks a major healthcare milestone for Assam, reducing the need for patients to seek treatment in metro cities.
