Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma launched development projects worth over ₹500 crore during a visit to Dibrugarh, focusing on education, healthcare, and skill development. At Dibrugarh University, he laid the foundation for a ₹146.43-crore upgrade under CM’s Special Grant and PM-USHA, including hostels, academic blocks, and a library. At Assam Medical College and Hospital, a ₹357-crore project was initiated for faculty housing and student hostels. In Naharkatia, ₹130 crore worth of projects were launched, including schools, a road overbridge, and a hockey stadium. The ITI was also handed over for industry-linked skill development.
