The People’s Party of Arunachal (PPA) has appointed Tawang MLA Namgey Tsering as Deputy Legislature Leader in the Arunachal Assembly. This comes after four MLAs, including Tsering, switched from the NPP to the PPA, increasing the party’s strength to six. During a legislature party meeting chaired by PPA President Nabam Vivek, Mebo MLA Oken Tayeng was named Legislature Party Leader and Liromoba MLA Pesi Jilen as Chief Whip. Vivek stated the appointments aim to restructure leadership and strengthen the party’s grassroots reach across the state. The changes mark a strategic shift to expand the PPA’s political base in Arunachal Pradesh.
