Kiren Rijiju Asserts in Parliament: ‘Not a Single Inch of Land Given to China’

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, responding to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s allegation that China is encroaching on Indian territory, clarified in Parliament that China has not intruded "even an inch" into Indian land, including Arunachal Pradesh, since the 1962 war. He stated that the areas currently held by China in Arunachal were already under its control either before or during the 1962 conflict. Rijiju, who hails from Arunachal Pradesh, said he felt compelled to correct the misinformation, emphasizing that no new intrusion has occurred in the region, countering Yadav’s claims.
