Tripura has partnered with the Airports Authority of India (AAI) to digitize and streamline the building clearance process by integrating Tripura’s Single Window System (SWS-OBPAS) with AAI’s No Objection Certificate Application System (NOCAS). This allows automatic approval for building height proposals within permitted limits defined by Colour Coded Zoning Maps (CCZMs), eliminating the need for separate NOC submissions. However, manual clearance remains mandatory for high-sensitivity Red Zones. The MoU was signed by officials from AAI and Tripura’s Urban Development Department to enhance efficiency, transparency, and ease of doing business in urban infrastructure development across the state.
