Victim of hit-and-run case Samiul Haque dies

Samiul Haque, a 21-year-old final-year junior engineering student and newly-appointed temporary employee at the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), died from injuries sustained in a hit-and-run case allegedly involving Assamese actress Nandini Kashyap. The incident occurred on July 25, the same day he joined GMC. Initially treated at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), he was later moved to a private hospital, where he passed away on Tuesday while on life support. Police have seized the vehicle involved, a car with registration number AS 01FM 9199, and confirmed that further investigation into the case is ongoing.
