Aalo’s Puakghat Riverfront Project Wins FICCI Urban Innovation Award 2025

The Puakghat Riverfront Development Project in Aalo, Arunachal Pradesh, has won the FICCI Urban Innovation Award 2025 in the Smart Public Spaces category. Announced by Chief Minister Pema Khandu, the award celebrates Aalo's collective community effort and vision. Selected from over 80 national entries, the project ranks among the top three, setting a benchmark for community-driven urban innovation. CM Khandu praised the people of Aalo, engineers, workers, and leaders for their contributions. The project, blending ecological awareness with urban design, now serves as a model for inclusive and sustainable development in the Northeast.
