Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit Assam on August 29 to inaugurate the newly built Raj Bhavan in Guwahati, as announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. During his visit, Shah will also attend a convention of newly elected NDA panchayat members, where they will be felicitated. The event marks NDA’s strong performance in the recent panchayat elections. In the evening, Shah will inaugurate the birth centenary celebrations of Golap Borbora, Assam's first non-Congress Chief Minister. After completing the engagements, he will return to New Delhi. His visit highlights key political and ceremonial milestones in the state.
