In Lakhimpur, the All Assam Students’ Union (AASU) transformed an accidental graffiti incident into a civic beautification effort. After the town received a cleanliness award, “AASU” was mistakenly painted on artistically decorated electric poles. Responding responsibly, AASU collaborated with student volunteers to redesign and enhance the affected art, preserving its aesthetic appeal. The effort was praised by Lakhimpur MLA Manab Deka, who commended AASU for its proactive and thoughtful action. What began as a minor mistake turned into a celebrated example of youth-led civic engagement, earning widespread appreciation and reinforcing Lakhimpur’s image as a clean, community-conscious town.
