Arunachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein announced an increase in annual financial aid for Donyi Polo Mission School for Hearing and Visually Impaired from ₹1.4 crore to ₹2 crore, along with a ₹5 crore corpus fund for sustainability. The announcement was made during a workshop under the Let’s Speak Arunachal initiative. Mein praised the school’s legacy, founded in 1990 by Gegong Apang, and pledged continued support. He also urged the purchase of recycled paper bags made by students. Emphasizing youth empowerment through communication, he lauded the efforts of initiative founders Porsum Ori and Tana Jiri in boosting student confidence.
