Tripura CM Stresses AI and Tech in Disaster Management; Announces Doppler Radar Station

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the integration of technology and AI in disaster management to reduce loss of life and property. Launching various initiatives under the Revenue Department, he unveiled the 2024–25 State Disaster Management Plan, 26 weather stations, training schemes, and online portals. Dr. Saha highlighted the need for preparedness, citing past cyclones and floods. Over 2,880 volunteers will receive civil defence training. He announced plans for a Doppler Weather Radar Station in Belonia and introduced a portal to track rescue equipment. A new land-use portal will also improve transparency and ease business processes in Tripura.
