Tata Sons-backed Tata Capital Ltd has filed draft papers for an IPO, offering about 47.58 crore equity shares, including 21 crore new shares and 26.58 crore shares from existing shareholders. Tata Sons plans to sell up to 23 crore shares, while IFC will sell 3.58 crore shares. The issue size is estimated at Rs 17,000 crore with a face value of Rs 10 per share. Tata Capital, India’s third-largest NBFC, aims to use the proceeds to strengthen its capital base. In FY25, its consolidated income rose by 55.89% to Rs 28,369.87 crore, with a profit after tax of Rs 2,594.28 crore.
