Students at the Donyi Polo Mission School for the Hearing and Visually Impaired in Arunachal Pradesh received AI-powered ‘KIBO’ reading devices, enabling independent access to printed, handwritten, and digital content. Chief Minister Pema Khandu, who distributed the devices, emphasized the importance of inclusive progress, stating that innovation must be paired with compassion. Established in 1990 by former CM Gegong Apang, the school plays a vital role in inclusive education. In recognition, the state government increased its annual grant to ₹2 crore and announced a ₹5-crore corpus fund to support the institution’s long-term sustainability and development.
