Australian Army Chief Lt Gen Simon Stuart will visit India from August 10–14 to strengthen military ties. He will meet Indian Army Chief Gen Upendra Dwivedi and Defence Ministry officials. The visit follows recent high-level defence exchanges, including India’s Chief of Defence Staff's trip to Australia. Discussions will focus on Indo-Pacific maritime security, joint exercises like AUSTRAHIND, training collaboration, and defence technology. Both armies maintain strong cooperation through exchanges, bilateral exercises, and shared courses. This visit reinforces the India–Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and aims to enhance operational synergy, interoperability, and strategic alignment in the Indo-Pacific region.
