Gautam Adani Appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Adani Ports & SEZ

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) announced that Gautam Adani has been redesignated from Executive Chairman to Non-Executive Chairman, effective August 5. This move aligns with the Companies Act, which limits executive roles in multiple companies. Adani will now focus on the broader strategic growth of the Adani Group. As a result, he will no longer be considered a key managerial personnel of APSEZ. Additionally, Manish Kejriwal has been appointed as an independent non-executive director for three years, pending shareholder approval. APSEZ operates 15 ports in India and has a presence in four international locations.
