Microsoft Launches Copilot 3D: AI Tool That Converts Photos into 3D Models

Microsoft recently launched Copilot 3D, an AI tool that converts 2D images into 3D models quickly and intuitively. Available for free to select users, it requires signing in with Microsoft or Google accounts and works best on desktop browsers. Users can upload PNG or JPG images under 10MB, with plans to support more formats later. Copilot 3D generates 3D models saved in GLB format, compatible with most viewers and exportable to AR apps. Models remain accessible for 28 days. Microsoft advises uploading only owned images, avoiding people’s photos to prevent account bans. Illegal content is automatically blocked.
