Tripura Assembly Speaker Biswabandhu Sen suffered an internal brain haemorrhage on August 8 after collapsing at Badharghat railway station. Initially treated at Tripura Medical College, he was shifted to a private hospital in Agartala and later taken to Bengaluru for further care. His daughter praised CM Manik Saha’s support, while his son defended the choice of hospital, rejecting political criticism. Doctors reported heavy intracranial bleeding and kept him under observation. CM Saha, ministers, and Opposition leader Jitendra Chaudhury visited him, with Saha noting Sen’s prior good health and the coordinated medical care provided by multiple hospitals.
