New ₹3,000 FASTag Pass Announced for Private Vehicle Owners

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has launched a ₹3,000 FASTag annual pass for private vehicles to promote digital toll collection and ease travel. The pass, valid for one year or 200 toll crossings, removes the need for frequent recharges and can be activated within two hours via the Rajmargyatra App or NHAI website. On its first day, 1.2 lakh users purchased the pass, with 1.24 lakh toll transactions recorded. With 98% penetration and over 8 crore users, FASTag has transformed toll collection. The new facility aims to make highway travel more seamless, convenient, and cost-effective for citizens.
