New Bus Terminal in Assam’s Kokrajhar Set to Enhance Regional Connectivity

The Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) has inaugurated a new bus terminal in Khargaon, Kokrajhar, aiming to enhance public transportation and regional connectivity. BTR Executive Member Ranendra Narzihary stated that the terminal provides a permanent base for Bodoland Transport Services, replacing its previous rented facility. He highlighted the terminal's importance in improving mobility and commuter convenience. The facility introduces an e-ticketing system, enabling online booking for the first time, to streamline travel for passengers. Authorities expect the terminal to boost comfort, accessibility, and transport efficiency across Bodoland and nearby regions, marking a key development in regional infrastructure.
