Kokrajhar Marks 25th Death Anniversary of Martyr Bineswar Brahma

The 25th death anniversary of Martyr Bineswar Brahma, former president of the Bodo Sahitya Sabha and a key figure in the Bodo literary movement, was observed in Chandamari, Kokrajhar, with solemn tributes. Brahma, assassinated on August 19, 2000, is remembered for his dedication to Bodo language, literature, and culture. The program began with the Sabha flag at half-mast, floral tributes, and discussions on his contributions. Assam Minister UG Brahma, MLA Lawrence Islary, BTC Speaker Katiram Boro, and Kokrajhar University VC Prof. Gonesh Wary attended, pledging to uphold his vision for strengthening Bodo identity and cultural heritage.
