Mizoram Installs ‘Health ATMs’ at Two Medical Facilities

On August 18, Mizoram inaugurated its first ‘Health ATMs’ at Lunglei Civil Hospital and Lungsen PHC under the Healthy Lunglei Initiative. Equipped with modern diagnostic tools, the kiosks provide 35 free health tests including blood pressure, sugar, BMI, ECG, lipid profile, vision, hearing, and mental health screening, with instant results on mobile phones. Health Minister Lalrinpuii called it a historic step, highlighting digital health records, preventive care, and rural–urban healthcare bridging. Supported by CSR funding from ABCI, BRN, and MVS India, the initiative aims to improve health indicators, promote accessibility, and strengthen public healthcare in Lunglei district.
