A full-scale emergency was declared at Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Wednesday after a Kolkata-bound Alliance Air flight (GAU-CCU) returned midway due to a technical snag. The flight, which took off at 1:09 pm, was diverted back after the crew detected the issue. Emergency protocol was activated at 1:42 pm, with fire, medical, and ground teams on alert. The aircraft landed safely at 2:27 pm, and the emergency was withdrawn at 2:40 pm. All passengers and crew were unharmed, safely deboarded, and assisted. Regular flight operations remained unaffected, officials confirmed.
