The ISRO has compiled a 4,000-page document on astronaut Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla’s Axiom-4 mission, covering training, spaceflight, and lessons for India’s Gaganyaan programme. ISRO chief V. Narayanan said the mission provided valuable insights into space operations, microgravity, and astronaut preparedness. He recounted how ISRO flagged a rocket fuel-line crack before launch, averting disaster. Shukla described the uniqueness of 3D movement in space, adjusting to 16 daily sunrises, craving Indian food, and his emotional first view of India from orbit. Fellow astronaut Prashanth Nair, standby for the mission, stressed teamwork, likening himself to “Laxman to Shukla’s Ram.”
