Chief of Defence Staff Gen. Anil Chauhan outlined the Sudarshan Chakra mission, India’s version of an Iron Dome, aimed at protecting key national assets through multi-layered defence combining missiles, lasers, drones, ISR, AI, quantum tech, and big data. He emphasized the need for massive integration across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains, with real-time data fusion. The mission will involve both soft and hard kill measures. Stressing a whole-of-nation approach, Chauhan linked military power with peace, citing the Mahabharata and Gita. He highlighted modern warfare trends—blurred war-peace lines, precision strikes, speed, and narrative control—as new matrices of victory.
