Three Suspected Bangladeshi Nationals Held in Kherapara for Illegal Entry

On August 25, three Bangladeshi nationals were apprehended by Kherapara Outpost around 1 PM while travelling in a bus (ML08D 8387). The arrested were identified as Sumi Rani Das (27) from Sylhet, Ali Akbar (25) and Arif Sikdar (22) from Potuakhali, Bangladesh. Authorities recovered three mobile phones, passports, and national identity cards from their possession. Investigations revealed they had illegally crossed into India earlier that morning through the Indo-Bangladesh border, intending to travel to Tamil Nadu for employment. A case under Section 14 of the Foreigners Act has been registered at Dalu Police Station, with further probe ongoing.
