The Meghalaya government has allocated Rs 2 crore under its Health Advancement Policy to support non-profit hospitals across the state, aiming to strengthen grassroots healthcare. On Sunday, Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma presented a cheque of Rs 1 crore to Holy Cross Hospital, Tura, as the first installment of the financial aid. The funding is intended to support the hospital’s continued efforts in delivering quality medical services to the community. The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for the hospital's contributions and emphasized that such non-profit institutions are vital to society's well-being.
