Manipur: CoTU Submits Memorandum to Sambit Patra Demanding Separate Administration

BJP National Spokesperson Dr. Sambit Patra visited Manipur’s Kangpokpi District as part of his two-day tour. He met BJP MLA Nemcha Kipgen and later engaged with representatives from the Committee on Tribal Unity (CoTU) and other tribal organizations. CoTU submitted a three-page memorandum highlighting urgent issues of the Kuki-Zo community, including security concerns, political underrepresentation, the demand for a separate administration, protection of tribal areas, and the need for justice and rehabilitation. They also called for a cessation of hostilities, development in the hills, and measures like AFSPA imposition and a Hills University.
