"Gauhati High Court Denies Bail Plea of ACS Siblings"

The Gauhati High Court has rejected the bail petitions of Masum Yusuf Ahmed and Tanbir Yusuf Ahmed, siblings arrested by the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell on April 4. The siblings are involved in two separate cases, registered as No. 8/2025 and 9/2025, related to allegations of possessing assets disproportionate to their known sources of income. Investigations revealed that Masum Ahmed's assets were 282.08% more than his known income, while Tanbir Ahmed's assets were 197.12% higher. The court denied their bail, continuing the legal proceedings in the cases.
