Following India's strike on terror camps in Pakistan and PoK under Operation Sindoor, the Congress Working Committee (CWC) expressed "full support" for the armed forces. The party decided to halt all planned events, including the "Samvidhan Bachao" rallies, in solidarity. The decision was influenced by AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s suggestion. Congress leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Jairam Ramesh, and K.C. Venugopal, attended the meeting. Kharge praised the armed forces' decisive action against terrorism. Ramesh urged Prime Minister Modi to attend Thursday's all-party meeting, as he had skipped a previous one in April.
