Mizoram Hosts National Workshop on AI for Financial Empowerment

A national workshop on financial empowerment through artificial intelligence (AI) was launched at Mizoram University, focusing on economic inclusion in remote tribal areas. Organized by the Department of Science and Technology, Mizoram University, and IIT Bhilai, the two-day event brought together experts to explore AI's role in strengthening financial systems in the Northeast. Eleven AI-driven financial projects are underway in Mizoram. The Governor of Mizoram emphasized AI's potential to bridge gaps in access to financial services. A key highlight was the introduction of a mobile app for public transport in Mizoram, improving access and convenience.
