On May 18, a 3.8 magnitude earthquake struck Arunachal Pradesh's Dibang Valley district at 5:06 AM IST, as reported by the National Center for Seismology (NCS). The quake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, with coordinates 29.03°N and 95.78°E. Just a day earlier, on May 17, a 3.4 magnitude tremor was also recorded in a nearby area at a depth of 12 kilometers. Its epicentre was located at latitude 28.78°N and longitude 95.70°E. Both quakes were mild and are part of the region’s frequent seismic activity, though no major damage or casualties have been reported.
