Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio virtually launched nine new Lighthouse School Complexes (LSCs) under the NECTAR project at a ceremony in Kohima. He praised the progress in education through NECTAR, highlighting its role in empowering youth and strengthening school education. The LSCs, located across various districts, aim to serve as model institutions promoting inclusive and sustainable education, supporting nearby schools. Developed under NECTAR, each of Nagaland’s 16 districts will have one LSC, focusing on disadvantaged and special needs children. The project aligns with National Education Policy recommendations and is monitored for environmental and social standards, costing Rs 198.57 crore in total.
