Meghalaya Cabinet Minister Alexander Laloo Hek condemned the brutal murder of Raja Raghuvanshi in Sohra as a "pre-planned and organised" crime, allegedly led by his wife, Sonam Raghuvanshi. Hek praised the Meghalaya Police for their swift investigation, which uncovered crucial evidence like a mangalsutra and ring, leading to the arrest of Sonam, her boyfriend Raj Kushwaha, and three hired killers. The incident shocked the nation, especially after Sonam surrendered in Ghazipur, Uttar Pradesh. Hek also expressed condolences to Raja’s family and noted their initial anger toward Meghalaya but appreciated their later apology after the investigation revealed the truth.
