Following U.S. strikes on Iran's nuclear sites, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian called PM Modi to discuss the escalating Iran-Israel conflict. Modi expressed deep concern and reiterated India’s call for immediate de-escalation, dialogue, and diplomacy. The leaders discussed regional peace and the safety of the Indian community. They also reaffirmed commitment to bilateral ties in trade, technology, and connectivity projects like Chabahar port and INSTC. This was their first call since the conflict began. India, maintaining ties with both Iran and Israel, finds itself navigating a delicate diplomatic balance while advocating peace and stability in the region.
