Former U.S. President Donald Trump insists that last week’s U.S. strikes “completely destroyed” Iran’s nuclear sites at Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan, dismissing media reports that the damage was limited. A leaked Defense Intelligence Agency assessment cited by The New York Times, The Washington Post and CNN claims the underground facilities, enriched uranium stockpiles and most centrifuges remain largely intact, with Iran having relocated some material beforehand—delaying its program only a few months. Trump denounced the reports as “fake news,” while White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff echoed his view, calling the strikes devastating and the leak “treasonous.”
