K Beichhua Appointed as New Mizoram BJP President

K Beichhua, sitting MLA from Siaha and former minister, has been elected as the new president of BJP Mizoram Pradesh, replacing Vanlalhmuaka. His unopposed election was announced by BJP National Mahila Morcha chief Vanathi Srinivasan at a function in Aizawl. Beichhua, who previously served under the MNF government and held key ministerial roles, joined the BJP in October 2023 after being expelled from MNF. He urged people to support BJP for development, citing declining trust in current and former ruling parties. The internal election was overseen by BJP’s Mizoram in-charge Davesh Kumar and held without any vote casting.
