Tripura to Introduce Speed Trackers for Commercial Vehicles: CM Manik Saha

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha announced the installation of speed tracking systems to monitor and penalize speeding, especially by commercial vehicles, aiming to improve road safety. At the launch of 16 new BLS ambulances, he stressed the dangers of reckless driving and emphasized the need for stricter enforcement. He also proposed mandatory periodic vehicle fitness checks to prevent mechanical failure-related accidents. Saha highlighted damage caused by overloaded trucks and raised concerns about liquor shops near highways. He urged better enforcement of the double-helmet rule and praised the Transport Department, stating that the new ambulances would enhance emergency medical response.
