Severe monsoon rains have devastated Himachal Pradesh, causing flash floods and landslides across multiple districts. Between June 20 and July 3, 69 people died, 110 were injured, and 37 remain missing. Mandi district is worst-hit, with 14 deaths, major infrastructure damage, and over 246 roads blocked. A five-storey building collapse near Shimla has prompted an official investigation. Relief efforts face challenges due to blocked roads and poor connectivity. NDRF and SDRF are conducting rescue missions. Thousands are displaced, with over 784 water schemes and 404 transformers affected. Actor Kangana Ranaut called the ongoing destruction heartbreaking, urging swift restoration efforts.
