Three Indian fertilizer firms—IPL, KRIBHCO, and Coromandel—signed long-term agreements with Saudi Arabia’s Ma’aden to import 3.1 million metric tonnes of DAP annually from 2025–26 for five years, extendable by another five. The deals were signed during Chemicals and Fertilizers Minister JP Nadda’s visit to Saudi Arabia (July 11–13), aimed at boosting bilateral cooperation in fertilizers, petrochemicals, and health. Nadda met Saudi ministers, visited Ma’aden’s facilities, and explored investment and research opportunities, including customized fertilizers and mutual investments. The visit reinforced India-Saudi economic ties, also addressing healthcare collaboration and Haj arrangements for Indian pilgrims.
