Tesla Opens Mumbai Showroom; Model Y EV Price List Unveiled in India

Tesla has officially entered the Indian market by opening its first showroom at Maker Maxity Mall in Mumbai's BKC. The showroom will showcase the Model Y SUV, with prices starting at ₹60 lakh for the rear-wheel drive variant and ₹68 lakh for the long-range version. These higher prices are due to import duties, as the vehicles are completely built units (CBUs) from Tesla’s Shanghai Gigafactory. Tesla has imported six Model Y units for display and test drives and brought Supercharger equipment worth $1 million. A service center is also planned in Kurla West. More showrooms may follow based on market response.
