Tripura Announces Recruitment of 1,600+ Teachers to Address Government School Staff Shortage

In a significant move to address the teacher shortage in government schools, the Tripura government has approved the recruitment of 1,615 teachers. Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury announced that 915 post-graduate teachers will be hired for Classes 11 and 12, and 700 graduate teachers for Classes 9 and 10. The Teachers' Recruitment Board of Tripura (TRBT) will handle the post-graduate appointments, while the secondary education department will manage graduate-level hires. Additionally, the cabinet approved the recruitment of 37 academic and administrative positions at Tripura Law University, including professors, associate professors, and a deputy registrar.
