HAL Takes Delivery of First Tejas Mk-1A Wing Assemblies from L&T

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) handed over the first set of wing assemblies for the Tejas Mk-1A Light Combat Aircraft to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) in Coimbatore. The event was attended virtually by Defence Production Secretary Sanjeev Kumar, who praised HAL and L&T’s role in advancing self-reliance in defence manufacturing. HAL CMD Dr. DK Sunil highlighted the collaboration as a milestone in boosting capacity. L&T aims to scale up from 4 to 12 wing sets annually. HAL has partnered with various private firms to procure major structural components for Tejas Mk-1A, marking progress in the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.
