The indefinite road blockade along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border, led by Mising community groups (TMPK, MMK, TMMK), was temporarily suspended after Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Arunachal CM Pema Khandu intervened. The protest began over the alleged killings of two Mising youths, Prabash Doley and Shankar Pegu, in Arunachal Pradesh. Both state governments assured prompt investigations and coordination. Police have arrested the accused in both cases, and investigations are ongoing. A joint meeting is expected soon.
