North Lakhimpur Municipality Bags Swachh Survekshan 2025 Best Award

The North Lakhimpur Municipality Board (NLMB) of Assam has won the Best Swachh Survekshan 2025 award in the category of cities with a population of up to one lakh. The award, presented by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in New Delhi, recognizes NLMB as Assam’s top-performing municipality in urban sanitation. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar handed over the award to NLMB Chairperson Krishna Dhar Sen. Executive Officer Tapash Jyoti Baruah and Ward Commissioner Prasanta Baruah also attended the event. The rankings assessed cleanliness based on waste collection, segregation, processing, and Swachh Bharat certification standards.
