Gauhati University B.Ed Entrance Exam 2025 Records 96.58% Attendance Across 16 Cities

Gauhati University has once again reaffirmed its status as a premier academic institution in Northeast India by successfully conducting the B.Ed Common Entrance Test (GUBEDCET-2025) on Sunday, July 20, 2025. The entrance test recorded an impressive attendance rate of 96.58%, showcasing a high level of interest and commitment among aspiring students seeking teacher education.

Out of 15,282 registered candidates, a total of 14,760 appeared for the examination, reflecting the university’s continued appeal and credibility. The test was held seamlessly across 18 examination centres situated in 16 different cities of Assam, ensuring widespread accessibility. Notably, the Gauhati University campus centre alone accommodated 3,332 candidates, making it the largest among all the venues.

Gauhati University Vice Chancellor Professor Nani Gopal Mahanta expressed satisfaction over the overwhelming turnout. He remarked that such participation demonstrates the growing trust and aspirations that students place in the university.
