Tripura CM Manik Saha Urges Vigilance on Presence of Pakistani Nationals, Reviews State Preparedness

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has directed all Superintendents of Police (SPs) across the state to regularly share critical intelligence regarding the presence of any Pakistani nationals with the Chief Minister’s Secretariat. Additionally, he urged District Magistrates (DMs) to maintain strict vigilance and promptly alert the administration about any such developments.

These instructions were issued during a high-level video conference held at the State Secretariat, where Dr. Saha, who also serves as the Home Minister, reviewed the state’s law and order situation, development initiatives, and preparations ahead of the upcoming storm season. Senior secretaries from various departments also participated in the comprehensive review meeting.

Stressing the need for preemptive measures, the Chief Minister instructed officials to take all necessary steps to ensure uninterrupted power supply during storms. He emphasized that any shortcomings within departments should be identified and addressed immediately to avoid service disruptions during adverse weather conditions.

Dr. Saha also highlighted the growing threat of cybercrime and called for increased public awareness campaigns. He recommended that regular press briefings be held to educate citizens on cyber threats and prevention strategies.

During the conference, the DMs and SPs from all districts presented detailed reports on the prevailing conditions within their jurisdictions. They outlined measures being undertaken to improve health services, drinking water availability, education, road infrastructure, and irrigation systems.

The Chief Minister’s firm directives underscore the administration’s commitment to maintaining internal security, ensuring smooth delivery of essential services, and safeguarding public welfare in the face of emerging challenges.
